Al menos 118 personas fueron capturadas la madrugada de este jueves en un nuevo megaoperativo de la Policía Nacional de Ecuador, denominado 'Gran Operación Cero Impunidad 1'.
De acuerdo con la institución, este operativo se llevó a cabo en el marco de la implementación de la Fuerza Investigativa Anticriminal (FIAC) en el Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, y en las provincias de Guayas —incluyendo al Distrito Metropolitano de Guayaquil—, Manabí, Los Ríos, Esmeraldas, El Oro y Santa Elena.
La Policía informó que con la captura de estas 118 personas, 11 de ellas detenidas con boleta y 107 aprehendidas en flagrancia, se afectó a al menos 14 "grupos terroristas".
En conferencia de prensa, el comandante de la Policía Nacional, César Zapata, mencionó que entre los "grupos terroristas" afectados están Los Choneros y Los Lobos.
Los ciudadanos capturados estarían vinculados al cometimiento de delitos como "homicidios intencionales, tráfico ilícito de armas, tráfico ilícito de sustancias catalogadas sujetas a fiscalización, robo de vehículos y demás delitos conexos", detalló la entidad.
En el megaoperativo, que incluyó 67 allanamientos, fueron incautadas 35 armas, 568 cartuchos de diferentes calibres sin percutir, 1.149 kilogramos de drogas, seis vehículos, 12 motocicletas, 50 teléfonos celulares y 3.888 dólares.

La ministra del Interior, Mónica Palencia, y Zapata señalaron que se evitó una potencial acción terrorista, al decomisar un lanzagranadas, conocido también como 'rocket', en la provincia de Los Ríos.
La FIAC es una fuerza recién creada al interior de la Policía de Ecuador. Según informó la entidad, "tiene como objetivo incrementar la efectividad en la intervención policial del subsistema investigativo, a través de la articulación operativa, afectando a las estructuras delictivas en zonas con mayor índice delictual en el país".
La nueva fuerza de intervención se enmarca en el Plan de Acción para la Contención de la Violencia y Delincuencia 2.0 y tendrá mayor incidencia en las cinco provincias que concentran la mayor cantidad de homicidios intencionales en Ecuador: Guayas, Los Ríos, Manabí, Santa Elena y El Oro.
Actualmente, en esas provincias rige un nuevo estado de excepción, decretado a finales de abril por el presidente, Daniel Noboa, ante el incremento de la violencia y la necesidad de realizar operaciones contra grupos criminales en el marco del conflicto armado interno declarado en enero.
En el evento en una finca participaban artistas nacionales e internacionales. Los uniformados decomisaron armas de fuego y recabaron otros indicios.
La Policía Nacional de Ecuador irrumpió la madrugada de este viernes en una fiesta que se realizaba en una finca, ubicada en la conocida Vía a la Costa, en la ciudad de Guayaquil, en la provincia de Guayas.
Durante el operativo se aprehendieron a varias personas, se decomisaron armas de fuego y se recabaron otros indicios, informó la institución a través de su cuenta en X.
Entre los detenidos, según refiere Primicias, está Jacobo Bucaram Pulley, hijo del expresidente Abdalá Bucaram Ortiz, quien gobernó al país suramericano entre agosto de 1996 y febrero de 1997.
El exmandatario se pronunció al respecto en sus redes sociales. "Confió en que esto se esclarecerá, pero tengo que aclarar que no es cierto el contexto que los medios quieren darle entender y venderle al Ecuador", escribió.
Señaló que su hijo "simplemente estaba invitado a una fiesta en una finca", donde "había orquesta y un cantante internacional". Asimismo, mencionó que "él no usa armas" y que "habían más de 200 invitados de la sociedad guayaquileña que hoy están retenidos".
"Mi hijo es un hombre al que lastimosamente le gusta la fiesta (el único de mis hijos que tiene esa forma de diversión que no comparto). Y aunque sé que no le debo explicaciones a nadie por algo tan banal lo hago porque antes que todo soy padre y no puedo permitir que mi hijo sea difamado por una fiesta multitudinaria", agregó.
Tanto el hijo como el padre han estado involucrados en procesos judiciales en los últimos años, incluyendo una causa en la que se les señala de delincuencia organizada, reseña El Universo. Son procesados por supuestas irregularidades en la comercialización de mascarillas y pruebas rápidas para diagnosticar covid-19 durante la pandemia.
Abdalá Bucaram, además, fue sancionado en marzo de 2022 por EE.UU., con prohibición de ingreso a ese país, por su presunta participación "en actos significativos de corrupción". La medida también recayó sobre su hijo Jacobo.
Asimismo, otro de los detenidos en la fiesta en la finca sería alias 'Feder', uno de los cabecillas de la organización delictiva Los Águilas, uno de los 22 grupos considerado como "terrorista" por parte del Gobierno, según el decreto de la declaratoria de "conflicto armado interno" emitido en enero pasado.
La fiesta en la finca contaba con la participación de artistas nacionales y extranjeros. Entre otros, se rumoró que se encontraba el cantante puertorriqueño Gilberto Santa Rosa. No obstante, el famoso confirmó a El Universo que no se encuentra en el país suramericano, sino que está en Boston, Massachusetts, EE.UU., donde recibirá un homenaje.
